Tsavorite garnet set at the centre of a sculpted daisy.
Tsavorite is the scarcest of the garnets and among the rarest green stones in fine jewellery, found in commercial quantity in only a narrow band of East Africa. It holds a purer green than emerald with none of emerald's characteristic inclusions, and it takes a brighter polish.
The daisy setting is deliberately naive against a stone this serious. Petals are rounded and open rather than pointed, and the stone sits high enough to be read from the side.
