The collection takes its name from the construction. The link is set on every face, so the piece carries light from any angle rather than presenting a front and a back. It roughly doubles both the stone count and the setting time against a conventional link, and it means no orientation is a wrong one.
Ovals are the harder cut to run in series. Each stone has a long axis that must align with the curve of the piece, and a single stone rotated out of true is visible down the whole length.
