The Journey
Born and educated in Toronto, Jonathan Raksha studied Goldsmithing, Gemmology, and Jewelry Design before leaving school in pursuit of an independent creative path.
In 2014, while still a student, he launched Toronto Grillz, a small bespoke atelier specializing in handcrafted gold teeth. What began as a modest workshop quickly earned recognition for its craftsmanship, laying the foundation for a broader vision.
As demand grew, MAISON RAKSHA emerged as the natural evolution of his work — a house dedicated to fine jewelry, rare timepieces, and one-of-a-kind creations. Guided by an obsession with craftsmanship, rarity, and design, Raksha expanded beyond the bench, establishing himself as both a jeweller and respected collector of exceptional watches.
Over the following decade, his creations would be worn by internationally recognized artists, athletes, and cultural figures, while his expertise in rare horology earned recognition from collectors and leading publications alike. His work and collections have been featured by Vogue, British GQ, Complex, Hypebeast, and Highsnobiety, helping establish MAISON RAKSHA as a distinctive voice within the modern luxury landscape.
